A. Eligibility: The contest is open to all persons who are 18 years of
age or older, except for employees, officers, directors and agents of
Goodson Honda. Participants must have a valid driver's license and valid
proof of insurance at the time of entry. The entrant must own the car
entered. Each person who participates in the contest agrees to abide by
all the rules and conditions contained herein, as well as all applicable
local, state and federal laws and regulations. All entrants must complete
an entry form for the Goodson Ugly Car Contest, as well as provide a photo
of the vehicle they are submitting for the contest. These items become
the property of Goodson Honda, 17350 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77090
and will not be returned.
B. Restrictions: Limit one entry per person. Late, lost, damaged, illegible
or incomplete entries to the Goodson Ugly Car Contest will be disqualified.
Entrants that do not meet the eligibility requirements will also be disqualified.
The determination as to whether an entry is disqualified is within the
sole discretion of Goodson Honda, 17350 North Freeway, Houston, Texas
77090, and by entering the contest, you agree that you will not challenge,
contest or otherwise attempt to hold Goodson liable for the exercise of
Goodson's discretionary judgment.
C. Prize: Only one prize will be awarded. The prize is a 1-year lease
on a 2006 Honda Accord LX Sedan, Automatic, Model # CM5646EW, with an
MSRP of $21,375.00. The retail value of the one-year lease is $6,121.00.
D. Selection of Winner: Selection of the winner will be determined by
public voting for the Goodson's Ugly Car Contest on the Goodson Honda
website, www.GoodsonAuto.com. The winner will be announced at Goodson
Honda West, 10250 Old Katy Road, Houston, TX 77043 at approximately 7
pm on May 1, 2006. The winner need not be present to win. If the winner
is not present at the time of announcement, the winner will be notified
by a representative of Goodson Honda either by telephone, mail or e-mail.
E. Prize Delivery: The winner must take delivery at Goodson Honda West,
10250 Old Katy Road, Houston, TX 77043. Timing of the delivery is at the
discretion of Goodson Honda. The lease term begins on May 1, 2006 and
ends on May 1, 2007.
F. Other Prizewinner Responsibilities and Agreements: The winner must
present a valid driver's license and valid proof of insurance to claim
the prize and must maintain those items throughout the period the prize
is used. The winner must present proof of ownership of the winning ugly
car. The winner must provide a valid social security number and complete
all IRS and similar forms at the request of Goodson Honda, prior to taking
delivery. If the winner fails or refuses to agree to the above terms and
fill out all requested documents within 30 days of the announcement of
the winner, the prize will be forfeited without further notification to
the prizewinner.
The winner is responsible for costs of insurance, taxes, gas, maintenance,
excessive wear/tear/damage and any other applicable fees associated with
the prize. The winner also must pay a charge of $.15 cents a mile for
each mile over 12,000 miles that the prize vehicle is driven. The vehicle
must be returned to Goodson Honda West, 10250 Old Katy Road, Houston,
TX 77043 on or before May 1, 2007 when the lease term ends. Any amount
due for excess wear/tear/damage or excess miles shall be paid to Goodson
on May 1, 2007.
G. The odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries.
By way of example, if Goodson Honda receives 5000 eligible entries, the
odds of winning are 1 in 5000.
H. The winner will be notified by phone, email or by mail based on the
information received on the registration form. The name of the winner
will be available to all at the offices of Goodson Honda North and West
and listed in the Goodson Honda website.
I. Authority and Control: The decision of Goodson Honda shall be final
in all matters concerning the Goodson Ugly Car Contest. The Goodson Ugly
Car Contest is subject to the laws of the State of Texas. Void where prohibited
by law.
